AWARD 2020

It was a different experience, not being able to see the public, not hearing the smiles, the reactions and above all not being able to be in Quibdó makes a big difference. However, as it is time to assume this difficulty as a learning experience. We learned a lot from the production of an online festival, we learned from the audience of social networks and how the current global situation has changed us a lot personally, professionally, daily, I think we now give each moment a special value, I think we now recognize the value of the encounter and the embrace and I think that in all this transformation the cinema has accompanied us a lot. I believe that now we value very much the courage of each person who sets out to make a film, because those films that are accompanying us have become part of our home.

We have celebrated four days of African and Diaspora cinema offering films from 26 countries and three events on "Afro Women and their Resistance", "Cinema and Social Leaders" and "New Afro Narratives".

Below, the films and directors awarded for the second edition of the Quibdo Africa Film Festival.
