El Beat By Irene Lema, Carolina del Mar Fernández, Sergio Bromberg Colombia / 2023 / 45'09 EL BEAT is a cross-platform narrative consisting of a VR experience, an interactive film and an immersive installation.It unfolds the story of Benkos Biohó, enslaved African and founder of the first free town in the colonial Americas, and the story of his descendants, the people of Palenque. It is a tribute to the African diaspora and the Black Power of Latin America.	Pimpi By Andrés Mosquera Colombia / 2023 / 21'58 The experiences lived with Pimpi conclude in a tragic experience for his relatives, the story takes place in a small town in the middle of the Colombian Pacific jungle. Past and present are mixed to form a story where the town and its inhabitants witness the struggle of black people.	Nguba By Ernestina Miranda, Mar Ajé / Colombia / 2022 / 11'34 Ngubá narrates stories that are woven around the food that women sow and cook in San Basilio de Palenque. An ancestral practice that enlivens women's relationships with the land and awakened memories through daily and collective field work. The community tissue is enhanced by songs and ancestral knowledge around this practice.
Guali By Rosa Patricia Perea Colombia / 2023 / 11'08 After losing her son, Chela, an Afro-Colombian woman, faces the ancestral funeral ritual "Gualí" to say the last goodbye to the child. She will be overwhelmed by the cooing and the relatives dancing with the coffin of the dead baby. Disturbed by the sadness and mystical sounds, she will listen to the uncontrollable crying of the baby and will chase that voice that calls her..... Chela will be perplexed by what she sees.	La Bonga By Sebastián Pinzón Silva, Canela Reyes Colombia / 2023 / 77' On April 5, 2001, shortly after a nearby massacre at the hands of right-wing paramilitaries, two hooded strangers entered the farming town of La Bonga and delivered a letter. The note accused the town of sympathizing with the FARC, the largest guerrilla group in Colombia. The people were given 48 hours to either leave or be forcibly removed. And so, the entirety of La Bonga–150 families–fled that same day. The Red Tree By Joan Gómez Endara Colombia / 2021 / 59' When his father dies, Eliécer is left to care for the half-sister he’s never met, called Esperanza. His mission is to take the girl to the capital to find the mother who abandoned her as a baby. The decision not to take responsibility for the girl, and the fulfilment of his duty, oblige Eliécer to set out on a journey on which he will accept the company of Toño, the young boatman whose dream is to make it to the city to become a boxing champion.	Marimba de Chonta By Julian Garcia Cardenas / Colombia / 2022 / 10'09 Strength of the water, immensity of the jungle". A piano that replicates the history of the black people. My grandmother in life danced to it and with her hip wiggling she taught everybody that the marimba is the reflection of a truth that has not been told. My ancestors used to celebrate with it all the battles won that the world today overshadows.

Tritych by Jorge Artel By Alvaro Serje, JM Suárez Colombia / 2022 / 5' A look at the poetry of the Afrocolombian poet Jorge Artel created with the images of the documentary "Black: A poet's life", which recount the life of this writer, journalist, militant, exiled and political activist who fought word by word to reclaim his African heritage. This triptych is a tribute through images and sounds inspired by Artel's words and voice.	Black Girls Magic By Yulian RENTERIA Colombia / 2023 /9'50 Magic of black girls is a photo shoot that became a documentary short film, in the city of cali - Colombia. It shows a group of black girls in their different skin tones wearing black outfits, highlighting their hair and different styles as a symbol of resistance. This short documentary film reflects the strength of women coming together and how they show one of the many magics that reflect black women through aesthetics.
