The jury of the 4th edition of the Quibdó Africa Film Festival is made up of prominent directors and actors of the Colombian audiovisual industry. A waste of talent, sensitivity, art, culture and love for the Colombian Pacific.

Maritza Blanco:
Passion that weaves stories, heart that tells the story of a country
For Cali-based screenwriter, director and producer Maritza Blanco, audiovisual means a constant dialogue with a country inhabited by everyday and fascinating stories.
Her academic training includes film and video studies in London, where she directed her first documentaries, and a Spanish master's degree in Ibero-American Screenwriting.
Among her most notable works are the short fiction film ¿Viste a Cristina el 7 de marzo?, Half The Sky produced for the US PBS channel and a series of short films on Afro-descendant leadership for social transformation, commissioned by the Acua Foundation.
Her ties to the Pacific led her to write, produce and direct La Pesca del Atún Blanco, a film that portrays the social problems faced by young people in this region of the country, winner of the Muestra de Largos Ficción Mercosur Award (FAM Brasil 2020) and the Silver Award for Design at the El Ojo De Iberoamérica International Festival (Argentina, 2011).
